How to make sure 2 solaris boxes are running same environment?

set ? uname ? sysinfo()?

  • "showrev -p" list installed patches
  • "uname -ra" show kernel level and O/S version
  • "pkginfo" list installed applications
  • "df -k" show filesystems and sizes

And when all else fails, you could always just ask the team(s) developing on it: "does it work"?

I always sense, though, that if you were in control of your "environments" you'd know exactly how they were configured.

Actually I had legacy application that is running on Server A and now we have to move it server B. What is it I need to check that application running on B has got same environment like A?Will appreciate it.
