the second line of the file should give you some clues... it's the user "oracle" login shell config file (.profile; in this case). place it in the useres homedir...

I tried to find out the user/passwd and service name by env variable and all Ive got is this:

hi , i added ls -F to .profile. and i need to do ./.profile for the effect to take effect BUT i didnt and YET the next day when i came to work and log in, the changes took effect. i am on aix.
please explain..
