So the thing is, you have to send e-mails through your OpsCenter server, so, I had to configure sendmail on it and configure the notification profile on OpsCenter to use localhost as smtp server.
Here's how I configured the notification profile:
Mail Host: localhost
Port: <blank>
Mail User: root
Mail Password: <enter the password for root on the OpsCenter server>
Connection Security: STARTTLS
hmm nope.
the e-mail is the mail account will receive all the notifications.
E-mail Address: admin@yourdomain.com
Mail Host: localhost
Port: <blank>
Mail User: root
Mail Password: <enter the password for root on the OpsCenter server>
Connection Security: STARTTLS
Putting in clear text root's password on a plain file is quite questionable. If the mail server requires user authentication, a dedicated, unprivileged, and restricted account would be a better option.
