How to check power consumption of Solaris servers ?

hi friends, we are relocating our DC and need to plan out electrical power for the new DC.

are there ways i could find the actual power consumption from my current servers ? instead of the product specs.

Interesting question, and I also want to know if it is possible.

For my knowledge, there is no software to be able to record the power consumption. maybe you can buy some hardwares to record it.

You have to guess from product specs, plus more disks, more CPU need more power.

One quick and dirty way is to measure the amps using a clamp-on amp meter around the power cords.
