Solaris 10 requires Update 4 (08/07)
Can anybody help me how can we upgrade to Solaris 10 requires Update 4 (08/07) from Solaris 10 6/06.

Actullly we need to install a Sun StorageTek LTO Half‐Height SCSI Tape Drive. And the document says

You should go to sunsolve page and download appropriate "Solaris Update Patch Bundle" then apply the patch bundle

I don`t thinks that solaris patchbundles are accessible to public without support contract...

I was able to upgrade u4 to u8 using live_upgrade. It took a couple of days (mainly because I had to schedule some down time) but it works.

Simply patching the OS doesn't work because there are packages in later updates that are not in earlier updates and you can't patch a package that isn't installed.

If anyone has any solid documents on updating Solaris 11.0 to 11.1 please share. I have been spinning my wheels for day now. I got past running the pre-update step.
