Sunray Problem

Hi All

I have got a sunray thin client at my workplace which is connected to a V100 Server. I had a script which i execute every now and then to know the system status.
In order that the script is executed every time I log in I accidently put the script in my .bashrc . The next time I was not able to get the login screen. Though I am able to ssh into my user account through somebody else's login . As of now I have removed the link to the script in my .bashrc file but the problem still continues .

Please Help..

I don't know how specifically this relates to sun rays, unless you can login ok after the change in a normal sun system? Maybe try xdmcp if you can't get onto the v100 console.

It is however possible that your sun ray session has got 'stuck' in which case you'll need to restart it - check the files in /opt/SUNWut/[bin|sbin] and the manpages thereof to find out exactly how to do this.

Assuming you can't get any X logins at all, you should remove (or back up) any .bashrc, .cshrc, .profile etc. files in your home directory, and work back from there to fix the problem.
