How to boot from Cd-rom in Server Sunfire v250?

Howto boot from Cd-rom in Server Sunfire v250?

The system can't boot because the filesystem is corrupt.

The system say:

run manually fsck -F ufs /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s5

But, I don't now how to make this.

I tried use stop + a, but nothing hapend.

Someone can I help?

Assuming this is your root filesystem, at the OpenBoot prompt insert your Solaris CDROM/DVD and enter:
Quote:
boot cdrom -s
When you get to the single user prompt
Quote:
# fsck -F ufs /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s5
# mount /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s5 /mnt
# umount /mnt
# reboot
The mount and umount commands are there just to check that you can mount the fielsystem.
Before rebooting, remove the DVD/CDROM.

Are you using serial (alt+BreaK)or SUN keyboard (Stop A)and monitor?
If nothing works poweroff the system. remove PSU. wait 5 min. plug back and on the server. you should see the Banner and mem initialisation. During then, give your break functions. If your autoboot is set to false previously, after poweron, your system would automatically bring you to ok> prompt

disconnect the PSU 5 minutes, then start the server, press STOP A and nothing happened, I do?

did you see the banner before you stop+A ?
what do you see? you have to elaborate the situation in order to get assistance.
did you try poweroff, plug out the disk(s), poweron? this will definitely bring the host to ok> prompt. if you don see a single thing on the screen, you have to isolate which component within the h/w have gone faulted, maybe

When the power on, I see the logo and the screen star to check values of the components and later send me the error of the hd and finally give the press Control D or give the root password, but nothing happend. Plug out the disk and the keyboard not working. Smilie Image
