Regarding Solaris patching..

Hi Gurus,

I am new to solaris patching.. while doing the patching do we need to have the root previligies and also need help while doing patching work if the server has veritas on it........

sure you need root access... and for veritas you need the patches for the volumemanger...

as always be sure to have a (working!) backup BEFORE patching your system!

You should also reboot the machine if it has been up and running a while before you start patching. This is to make sure you got a working machine where every thing starts again before you start making changes.
