Operating Systems Solaris help with text search in solaris

Try this:
Code:
find . -name "*yyyymmdd*" -print0 | xargs -0 zcat | grep text

# 9
Old 06-27-2010
the error now is

xargs: illegal option -- 0
# 10
Old 06-27-2010
My last idea is:
Code:
find . -name "*yyyymmdd*" | xargs -i zcat '{}' | grep text

# 11
Old 06-27-2010
Code:
ls | grep yyyymmdd | xargs zcat | grep text

Please show a sample portion of of the directory listing in "ls -la" format, masking any confidential information and making it clear whether "yyyymmdd" refers to a directory name or a selection of files from within the current directory.
Please show what you actually typed and how the system responded. We have assumed that you typed a numeric date in place of "yyyymmdd".

Based on the error from "bartus11" post we will need to know which Operating System you are running (uname -a).

The uname -a command output is

SunOS 5.8 Generic_117350-22 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-FireV240

will post the screenshot soon
