Question error while sun mc 3.6 installation
Hi Gurus,

While I am trying to install SUN MC3.6 on v440 server below error is occuring .Smilie

Server:/sun_mc-3_6_1-ga/disk1/sbin#sh es-inst

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This script installs Sun (TM) Management Center 3.6.1
----------------------------------------------------------------------------


Installation files source directory: /sun_mc-3_6_1-ga/disk1/image/SunOS/sparc

Error copying XML APIs to /var/run/tmp/SunMCInstall/XML/APIs

Exiting Sun Management Center installation.

server:/sun_mc-3_6_1-ga/disk1/sbin#

Kindly help me in solving this plz

did you check if you have write permissions to /var/run/tmp or does it exist on your system even.

This can be more elaborating if you run

I am running script as root and I am able to do it manually.
I mean I can make directory and touch files.
