T-Series as has been under several discussions , are the pure IO intensive servers. you put application on the system with high i/o requirement and they run like cheetah, have good resource management, but for processing they are mid-ranged.

The Netra or M-Series is again the most stable machines Oracle/Sun would be producing. M-Series was developed in conjunction with Fujitsu and have a high grade of performance so far.

If you have mixture of IO and processing, I would still recommend to go with M, as dtlogin and alike need some sort of local or remote buffered data presentation and having sessions like more than 1000, with sufficient memory would make your life easier.

and if you are running like an HTTP/radius/ldap/DNS or similar apps, T-Series are best in with higher number of cores and memory utilization.

BB

You can create Ldoms on a T5240 but not on M3k
