OpenSolaris 2009 bad magic number
Hi guys, I have a big problem wiht my old Netra T1 200. I want to install OpenSolaris 2009 but there's a problem, I burned the ISO image on a CD-RW and then I tryied to install it on netra, but the setup won't to start and the error is that in the attached image.

Have you maked sure that the CD is ok?
Often you can see quite intresting errors if the cd or cdrom is defect.

I would recommend that you try to burn the cd again, this time on a lower speed setting and on a normal cd-r.

thanks for your reply, I tryied to burn it on a normal CD-R but the problem is the same! I burned at 4x speed but I think is necessary the Netra's boot cdrom but I'm not sure, what do you think?

You can have a faulty cdrom or corrupted ISO image, both can produce the same type of errors.
I would check the md5sum of the iso image and see if that is correct and I would try to boot using another media like Solaris 10 sparc cd if you got that.

have you burned the sparc or the x86 iso image to disk? double check that you downloaded the correct image!

Out of way suggestion, however if you have any boot server it will be more wise giving a trying. Also, you can check your media on other system in case you can access the content or not!
