Exporting DHCP to backup server

just looking for some advise on the best way to set-up a passive dhcp server in solaris.
Was thinking of exporting the dhcp data/macros etc to a separate server to use as a backup that will be activated when the main dhcp server goes down

Any hints/tips etc greatly appreciated

Take a look at how you can make the DHCP NFS export the relevant filesystem to the other server (see womewhere like: Linux Networking Implementing NFS Tutorial ) and the simply cron copying the files across that NFS mount...

You will need to test the backup and restore process to ensure the files backup okay while the DHCP server is running.
