Solaris

I want to install sun solaris operating system on my dell laptop which is a intel processor.Where can i download the operating system in which i can install all the features i.e network cards and all the device drivers.


I had downloaded the operting system from the sun site.But in which i could not able able to install the all device drivers


So where can i find the download path for solaris operating system with all features.

You must let us know what drivers you're looking or. Before that, check out the HCL (hardware compliant list) from Sun

And in the HCL site, use the Sun Device Detection tool to get information about the required drivers.

Note also that latest OpenSolaris distribution supports more devices out of the box than Solaris 10.

How can i install sun detection tool in solaris .I had downloaded the software and i had sun detection tool software to a cd.

You don't install that tool, you run it from the browser while running windows, linux, Mac OS/X, FreeBSD or Solaris.
