I want to change time format to AM/PM format. In below output -

Thu Jul 27 16:48:59 PDT 2017
-bash-3.2#
I want to be it 4:48:59 PM. NTP is configured on this. Can time format be changed while NTP server is configured ?

I have Solaris-10 server. During troubleshooting of some storage issue, I removed disk entries from /dev/dsk and /dev/rdsk
rm /dev/vx/dmp/*
rm /dev/vx/rdmp/*
rm /dev/dsk/*
rm /dev/rdsk/
And rebooted the box. That recreated device tree for SAN disks, but I do not see c1t0d0s0 and c1t1d0s0... (7 Replies)

I have a CP3260 Blade connected to a RTM which houses a Seagate ST9146802SS SAS Hard Drive in a CT900 Chasis.
I wanted to format the Hard Drive before i started installation of Solaris 10 OS.

We have upgraded our sun machine from solaris 9 to solaris 10.
Before upgradation the date command output(Solaris 9)

But after upgradation the output for date is as below(solaris 10).

Hi,
i just want to know how to format date command in solaris. like in linux if i use `date +%s`, it gives me seconds since 1970, but in solaris (sol86) , it is giving %s as result.
Is there any different way in solaris
