Need to Format Solaris

Hello everyone, my job has an old Solaris 9 box, that no one knows the password for, but we need to format the hard drives to salvage it, we are able to get to the password prompt when we telnet into it but that is it, is there a way that we can format the drives without knowing the password.

Just an FYI I know nothing about Solaris, but my manager wants me to handle it, so TADA!! also not able to connect to it directly, the monitor and keyboard has been disabled for some reason???

Boot the system using cdrom to single user mode. From there you can mount your disk and do whatever you want to.
Also let us know the model of the system.
