Solaris 10 installation on dell power edge 1950
Hi,
I am about to try Solaris 10 on a dell power edge 1950 server. I have googled and found some articles(2007) saying its not supported. Anybody tried this recently?

There will be a smart start CD with the server, you need to install OS via that CD, you will also get list of supported OS in the wizard.

Works just fine. I am currently running an HPC setup on these and have had zero problems. Currently 4 Dells in the cluster.

I do know that the earlier versions of Solaris 10, at least 11/06 update 3 did not come with the driver for the NIC.

Latest release does come with the driver.

I just downloaded the iso and burned the DVD and installed from it.
