Question read binary data on solaris 9
Hello there:
First off, Thanks for clicking in. I have some integers stored as binary data. On redhat 9,I could read them just using the system calls open()and read(). And they show as what I expected. And on Solairs, I used the same sys calls. And the binary data were not interpreted as were by my Redhat. If the integer stored was 7, sfter I read it and put it on the screen, it would be a very big number like a memory address. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to read binary data(integers) and convert them back to what I can read......... Thanks
