I googled the subject line of ur thread "Sun Solaris Installation" and in the first place i got the guide from Sun. So please give a try atleast before u post.
I'm always intrigued by the "why don't you google it" responses.
I'm pretty sure that one can "google" anything that's posted here and some response will pop up from somewhere other than this site... which would defeat the purpose of this site, I think... but what do I know...I don't "google".

When I try to install Solaris 8 10/00 OS via the Solaris 8 Installation Disk on our Sun Fire V490 Server using the command , I get:
boot: cannot open kernel/sparcv9/unix
which means it can't find the unix kernel file on the installation disk .

I had install the solaris 10 into the SUNFIRE V890 server, after installed, it keep rebooting.
