Installing a new text editor program on Solaris

I have installed a new text editor program on Solaris and now the only way to open it is via the command line (is that correct)

So is there a way to like for example add an icon on the cde main menu
so as like just click it and the program opens

I am running Solaris 9

I am still a Unix beginner

Thanks in advance

yes, you can create a link to a program in CDE. haven't done that for a long time... but i know it works and it wasn't hard to to. if i remember right, you have just to drag and drop the program to the menu where you like to have it...

.. don't remember CDE well either, but try right-clicking on the tools bar and add an icon, then I think you can add a command to that icon...
