finding servers build date
Hi all,

I am new to UNIX. I was wondering how one can find out what is the build date of a server. I have reboot schedules so uptime cannot be of any help here.

I searched the forum and I could not find anything. Any help would be much appreciated.

look into the /var/sadm/system/logs directory. and the Solairs has a two files which are used in the installation, "begin.log and finish.log" and the date of them are the installation date
