Sunblade 1500 hba installation
Hi,

I have put qlogic hba card and rebooted with -r option to configrue my hba card. How can I verify that it is intalled correctly? I have fiber connection going to storedge T3. Please help.

how have you done the reboot with -r option? please give the full command.

can you see the LUN/LUNs from the T3 in the "format" output?

Yes, I did reboot -r.

No, luns are not showing up. I can telnet to T3 storedge and there is no problem, but it is not visible from my solaris box. I just installed qlogick 2GB fiber card. I just want to make sure that it is intalled correctly. How can I verify?

"reboot -r" does not work! the proper way to do a reconfigure boot is:

1. do a "touch /reconfigure" and an "init 6"
2. an "init 0" and a "boot -r" from ok prompt
3. "reboot -- -r"

go for option 1 or 2. option 3 is kind of a "hard" reboot cause the init scripts aren't used to shutdown all services...

I tried all those and not picking up T3 storedge. How can I confirm that I have installed my hba card correctly? It is not showing in prtconf.

Do we need the driver or solaris 10 would load automatically ?

the drivers should be no problem... what is the output of "prtdiag -v" and "cfgadm -al"? also a "fcinfo hba-port" could be usefull!

Thank you I will try and let you know. Also, in order to see all the disks from my T3 storedge, do I need to do anything else?
