Hi Gurus,

do we have any option to re-read the /etc/system file or it always that we've to reboot to reflect the changes of /etc/system?

The /etc/system is only read once, at boot time. Any changes you make to this file therefore require a reboot, no exceptions.
In Solaris 10, some kernel values have been modified into resource management controls, which can be tied to projects or Solaris Zones. Changes to these properties do not require a system reboot.

if mess up you can boot on /dev/null to get default boot settings

how to mount a file system from a solaris server into an hp-ux system
