Unable to use CD-ROM

I've been having some problems with the CD/DVD drive in my V480 server. I've decided to try to boot from the Solaris DVD (to rule out the Solaris 10 OS as a culprit).

I get the following errors when I try to boot from the DVD

Code:
Rebooting with command: boot cdrom
Boot device: /pci@8,700000/ide@6/cdrom@0,0:f File and args:
Can't read disk label.
Can't open disk label package
Evaluating: boot cdrom

Can't open boot device

{3} ok

Is this pointing to a faulty CD/DVD drive?

You execute probe-ide-all/ probe-scsi-all and see what all you are getting on OK prompt, also you can check for media, if its working on other system or not

kumarmani, it might not be true that the drive is failed just due to the hard errors.

@OP

are you sure you use a checked DVD with solaris sparc (not x86) on it?
