Time change next week - solaris 8 ?

Can anyone tell me does solaris 8 automatically update the time upon the daylight savings?

If you mean the change of summertime into Wintertime, yes it should be done automaticly.

Else, please try to be some more specific.

Thanks - i do mean summertime to wintertime...

Any idea how this is managed by solaris?

yes solaris does it automaticly.

this is why you dont have TZ=CDT or TZ=CST.

you have TZ=US/Central

of course my examples are for the Chicago area.

You can make sure that you have it set up right with:

/usr/sbin/zdump -v -c 2004 $TZ | grep 2003
