wierd sparc 5

Hi!

I own a sparc 5 and i seem to have a strange problem. When its off, it starts by itself...
Sounds a bit strange? Iknow. Does anyone know whats causing this?? Could it be the network card? or is it someting in ENV or some other configuration??

.........

never heard something about an autoboot when you powered off your sparc....
sparc 5 (?) is it an ultra sparc 5 or an sparc station 5 ?
do you have a pet? sun keyboards have a poweronbutton ;-)

nice url for OBP:

Nopez.....no pet, and i havent touched the button either. And besides its on the other side of the room. Its an sparc 5. I know it sounds really strange, but it really starts by itself. I guess it would be worse if it was the otherway around.

I guess it could be the network card. Disable WOL.

Read this.

Especially the autowakeup stuff which looks like it could do exactly what you're describing.

Very funny,

I heard it should be possible, but never found out how :

autowakeup
If the hardware has the capability to do autowakeup, the system is shut down as if the value were shutdown and the system will be restarted automatically the next time the time of day equals finish_time.
