Error on adding disk in Ldoms

I have LDom running on one of my T5220 server running soalris 10u6. When i try to add a a virtual disk whose backend is ZFS i get following error.

Code:
# ldm add-vdsdev /dev/zvol/dsk/newpool/ldom2/zdisk1 zdisk1@primary-vds0
# ldm add-vdisk zdisk1 zdisk1@primary-vds0 ldom2

VIO configure request sent, but no valid response received
LDom ldom2 did not respond to request to configure VIO device
VIO device is considered to be allocated to LDom, but might not
be available to the guest OS

If i shutdown the Ldom the i 'm able to add it but when i try to boot from that disk it says

Code:
{0} ok boot
Boot device: zdisk1 File and args:
WARNING: /virtual-devices@100/channel-devices@200/disk@2: Communication error with Virtual Disk Server using Port 0. Retrying.

What could be the reason for this and is it something i 'm doing wrong
