Solaris

Dear All master

We have Sunfire memory 16G memory and 8 Processor.
I install with Solaris 10,
but i think resource that use all proccess is very much,

I installed this machine 3 times, twice install Oracle the load process make machine is very slow.

in new install process like this,

Anyone can help me to install Solaris with minimalis CPU and Memory Usage? or some tips for patch tunning solaris.

I haven't got a machine I can look at the size of the fmd(1) process which is the biggest process your screenshot shows, perhaps you should ensure you have the latest patching, does the fmd process increase in memory size with time suggesting a memory leak? You need to apply the appropriate Sun Recommended patch cluster if you have not already done so. The output from a copy of top will show you how much free memory you have but if you are running Oracle then the machine will appear to have no memory because Oracle grabs everything and the only test of whether the machine has run out of memory is when the Scan Rate (sr column) from vmstat(1) which shows how quickly the kernel is working to return free memory pages back to the free memory pool.
