why is this?
do we have a faulty fiber card?

It looks like a faulty port on a dual port card, or depending on the card type there might be no modulator/ an unseated module in that port. The former is more likely.

Just confirm if the device is in use or not. If it has been removed, then unconfigure the LUNS that were removed from the SAN

we have this setup as an MPXIO system.
about 10 LUN's

we had syslog messages with wording of

Code:

Hot swapping disks on V240 - blue light not lit after cfgadm -c unconfigure

Hot swapping a drive on V240. So, I do cfgadm -c unconfigure <disk>. Then cfgadm -al reports disk as unconfigured as expected. format then tells me there is no disk. BUT, blue light does not come on. Hi, One of 2 local disks on V480 running solaris 10 and SVM failed.
