Solaris 8 Containers on Solaris 10
First Post for me Smilie

I work for a development group who build software for all NIX platforms and windows also. We still have customers who run Solaris 8 so we need to support this OS. Therefore we build on Solaris 8. Last year I purchased a SunFire V215 as a new build server as I was advised that it would run Solaris 8. It seems not as even with 2/04 media, it will not boot (complains about boot: cannot open kernel/sparcv9/unix).

So I'm looking at the potential of using Solairs 8 Containers on a solaris 10 host. I'm still at the beginning of my research but I wondered if anybody had any opinions or experience with this. We use the Native Sun compilers.
