Error message at SF 20k

Dear All,

I have error message at my server like this :

Apr 11 03:24:31 in.routed[631]: [ID 481462 daemon.error] discard RIP response; source 10.255.255.2 not on interface e1000g0
Apr 11 04:24:50 in.routed[631]: [ID 481462 daemon.error] discard RIP response; source 10.255.255.2 not on interface e1000g0
Apr 11 05:24:52 in.routed[631]: [ID 481462 daemon.error] discard RIP response; source 10.255.255.2 not on interface e1000g0
Apr 11 06:25:06 in.routed[631]: [ID 481462 daemon.error] discard RIP response; source 10.255.255.2 not on interface e1000g0

My server : SunOS 5.10 Generic_127111-06 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-15000

Is message is critical...? and How to fix it...?

if you are not acting as a router or gateway you shouldn't need to have in.routed running.

My server not for router or gateway, it's for database, so how to fix it...?

The SMF routing daemon service for in.routed
(svc:/network/routing/route:default) is specified by default.
if you dont wish it to appear on the console hereafter, do the following
svcadm disable route
svcs |grep route

Error message: What does it mean?

I get this error message in my maillog. Can someone tell me what it means? SYSERR(root): collect: I/O error on connection from mail-05.goomba.com I guess it means that the server could not connect to mail-06.goomba.com. Is my interpretation correct? Any idea why it happens? (1 Reply)
