Solaris 8 x86 media

I have solaris 10 installed in a VM on my laptop which is configured as a jumpstart server. (Currently only being used to jumpstart other VM's on my laptop - chiefly for testing purposes)

I'd like to be able to do some testing with upgrading from solaris 8, and it is difficult to get hold of SPARC hardware to do any testing on, so it would be easier to do the testing in a VM. However, I don't have any solaris 8 x86 media.

Does anyone know where I can get solaris 8 x86 installation media from?

Regards,
TanDJ

Solaris is free to download (X86 or sparc) strait from their web site:
Solaris Operating System - Get Solaris 10
once you've downloaded the iso you can either mount it or burn it on DVD ...

What if you got an Ultra 10 on eBay for a 100 bucks?
SUN Ultra 10 UltraSPARC IIi 333MHz 512MB RAM 9GB HD CD - eBay (item 390033197477 end time Apr-23-09 22:32:19 PDT)

I have one and it runs Solaris 10. I did have the 8 (x86) media at some point. I'm not sure that I still do.

To my knowledge you don't upgrade to solaris 8 from 10 like you install a bunch of patches.
you replace solaris 8 by solaris 10. This means you scrap whatever you had before and reinstall from bear metal ...

I've got solaris 10 x86 media on my jumpstart server.

I want to put the solaris 8 x86 media on my jumpstart server so that I can experiment with live upgrade.

I know it is possible to use live upgrade to migrate from solaris 8 to solaris 10, as I had temporary access to a SPARC machine, and I had a small window to expreriment, but not enough to satisfy me before I had to return the machine for other uses.

Now I want to further my experiments with using live upgrade to migrate from solaris 8 to solaris 10.
