prtconf or sysdef can display some info about your devices. Maybe that will get you close.

In sysdef command it showing hostid is this service tag for that machine.

Just to enquire.. If we are doing a initial setup using EIS,is it a must to update the service tag packages, for a fresh new installation. It prompts for it before installaing the explorer pkg
