Not getting warnings!!

I have tried to compile the code on solaris which is

bash-3.00$ uname -a
SunOS zen 5.7 Generic_106541-37 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-80

bash-3.00$ CC -V
CC: WorkShop Compilers 5.0 98/12/15 C++ 5.0

when I compile just a simple program,

int main()
{
long kk = 200;
int jj = kk;
return 1;
}

It is not giving any warnings after compile with command :
>> CC +w2 -xarch=v9 test.cpp

====================================
But for the similar program I get warnings as

"Warning: Conversion of 64 bit type value to "int" causes truncation."

Which CC and OS version is

SunOS tigger 5.8 Generic_117350-39 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-250

CC: Sun WorkShop 6 update 2 C++ 5.3 Patch 111685-09 2002/07/17

Can you please clear me is there anything missed out because of version difference or anything else happens?
