Stella is a freely distributed multi-platform Atari 2600 VCS emulator originally developed for Linux by Bradford W. Mott. Since its original release several people have joined the development team to port Stella to other operating systems such as DOS, OS/2, MacOS, Unix, and Windows 95 & NT. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes:
Audio settings are now saved correctly. A crash when viewing ROM info has been fixed. ROMs with uppercase extensions are no longer marked as invalid. The ability to further filter ROMs based on name has been added. GL aspect ratio can now be set separately for NTSC and PAL modes. Several options that could only be set from the command line can now be accessed in the UI.
