Visualization Library is a C++ middleware for2D/3D graphics applications based on the industrystandard OpenGL 2.1. It supports advanced featureslike OpenGL Shading Language, Frame BufferObjects, Multiple Render Targets, Vertex and PixelBuffer Objects, KdTree/AABB frustum culling, amultilingual Unicode-based text engine, advancedtexturing, DDS cubemaps, mipmaps, compressedtextures, and much more. Visualization Library canbe especially useful in 3D/2D scientificvisualization, virtual reality, augmented reality,visual simulation, data visualization,presentations, multimedia applications, specialeffects, and 3D/2D games.License: GNU General Public License v3Changes:
The rendering architecture is very fast. There arenative Win32, SDL, GLUT, and Qt4 bindings. Supportfor 3DS, OBJ, AC3D, MD2, and PLY was improved. Animage class supporting DDS, BMP, TIF, TGA, and DATfiles was added. A String class was added tomanipulate UTF16, UTF8, Latin1, and ASCII text. Avirtual file system was added to access disk, ram,and zip files. A powerful GLSL 1.30-like C++ mathlibrary was added. Support was added for geometryshaders, integer textures, and multi-instancing.GL_EXT_texture_array and GL_ARB_texture_rectanglesupport were added. A cross-platform CMakebuilding system was added.
