It provides powerful editing, code intelligence, testing, debugging, and search capabilities that reduce development and debugging time, cut down on coding errors, and make it easier to understand and navigate Python code. This release adds support for x64 Python on Windows, avoids auto-starting batch searches when a project is opened, makes several vi mode fixes, adds a 'watch' item to the editor context menu, recognizes the type of 'x' in 'from x import y', allows the debugger to start even if replacing sys.stdin fails, stores the list of test files in the shared project file (*.wpr), and has 16 other bugfixes. NetBeans is a cross-platform IDE written in Java. It supports development in Java, and support for other languages can be added. The whole IDE is built around a core framework with APIs, and features are implemented in the form of plugin modules.
