DIAP is an advanced backup volume management system. A quick and low-cost way to make anenvironment more robust by backing up data inmultiple places. A Perl installer creates thesystem with minimal effort. The applicationprovides a decentralized, self-contained, andmanaged storage utility. The emergence of a DVTL(Distributed Virtual Tape Library) is the endresult. Nodes can be dedicated to storage or usedfor existing services over unused bandwidth. DIAPworks in user space over SSH.
