Gutenprint 5.2.1 (Stable branch)

Gutenprint (formerly Gimp-Print) is a collection of printer drivers for Unix/Linux that currently supports over 800 printers. It emphasizes quality and flexibility, offering a wide variety of options to meet most printing needs. It includes a CUPS driver, an IJS-based Ghostscript driver, Foomatic data, an enhanced Print plugin for The GIMP, and other printer maintenance utilities. It can be used equally well for fast printing of text or critical printing of high quality graphics and photographs.License: GNU General Public License (GPL)Changes:
This is the first stable release in the 5.2 series. It offers many enhancements over 5.0, including support for many more printers, greatly improved quality and performance on many Epson inkjet printers and some others, a rewritten Postscript driver, substantial enhancements to the CUPS driver, and much more.Image

NAME
photoprint - a utility to print images using Gutenprint. SYNOPSIS
photoprint [-h] [--help] [-v] [--version] [-p <presetfile>] [--preset <presetfile>] [-b] [--bbatch] [images ...] DESCRIPTION
photoprint is a utility to print multiple images per sheet, using Gutenprint, with support for 16-bit images and ICC profiles. WARNING This software is experimental - use it at your own risk. OPTIONS
These programs follow the usual GNU command line syntax, with long options starting with two dashes (`-'). -h, --help Show summary of options. -v, --version Show version of program. -p, --preset <presetfile> Load a specific preset file on startup. To store you probably want to create a .photoprint directory in your home directory. Then use the printer setup menu options to create settings suitable for your printer, and select Save Preset, Save As or Save Default to store them to disk. SEE ALSO
