The MPI-IO Test is built on top of MPI's I/O callsand is used to gather timing information forreading from and writing to file(s) using avariety of I/O profiles. A data aggregationcapability is available and the user can pass downMPI-IO, ROMIO, and file system specific hints. TheMPI-IO Test can be used for performancebenchmarking and, in some cases, to diagnoseproblems with file systems or I/O networks.
