VLC media player 0.9.2 (Stable branch)

Image VLC media player is a media player, streamer, and encoder for Unix, Windows, Mac OS X, BeOS, QNX, and PocketPC. It can play from many inputs like files, network streams, capture device, desktops, or DVD, SVCD, VCD, and audio CD. It can play most audio and video codecs (MPEG 1/2/4, H264, VC-1, DivX, WMV, Vorbis, AC3, AAC, etc.), but can also convert to different formats and/or send streams through the network. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes:
This version adds a new interface module for Linux and Windows, a media library, and an improved playlist and many new audio and video filters. Video playback is enhanced with new protocols, new codecs, and new demuxers. Audio playback has cover art, metadata support (and editing), and has been vastly enhanced. It can play audio when the playback speed is changed. libVLC has been simplified and improved, many bindings for many languages were added, and there is a new Mac OS X framework. Scripts written in Lua can expand VLC media player's capabilities. Image
