The Google Serial Graphics Adapter BIOS, orSGABIOS, provides a means for legacy x86 softwareto communicate with an attached serial console asif a video card were attached. It is designed tobe inserted into a BIOS as an option ROM toprovide over a serial port the display and inputcapabilities normally handled by a VGA adapter anda keyboard, and additionally provide hooks forlogging displayed characters for later collectionafter an operating system boots. It is designed tohandle all text mode output sent to the legacyvideo BIOS int 10h service routine. Int 10h is themost common method for displaying characters in16-bit legacy x86 code.
