MIB Smithy SDK is a dynamic extension to Tcl/Tk(8.1+) that allows development of custom scriptsfor controlling SNMP agents, manipulating SMIdefinitions, doing conversions, and more. It isbased on the core of Muonics' MIB Smithy, and theSDK supports SMIv1 and SMIv2, as well asSNMPv1/v2c/v3 with HMAC-SHA-96 and HMAC-MD5-96authentication and CBC-DES privacy. It alsoprovides complete read-write access to allelements of SMI/MIB Module definitions, unlikesimilar extensions that provide only read accessto a limited subset. The SDK allows multiplediscrete SMI databases and SNMP sessions, andprovides all of the built-in validation and errorrecovery capabilites of the full product, withoutthe visual MIB development environment.
