phpLogCon 2.1.2 (Default branch)

Image phpLogCon is a Web front-end for syslog and other network event data. It provides easy browsing and some basic analysis. Network events are taken from a database, where they must be stored by a feeding application (not part of phpLogCon itself). Depending on database contents, phpLogCon can process syslog messages, Windows event log entries and some more exotic things. It works together with rsyslogd, an enhanced syslog deamon but can also team up with any other application capable of writing to a database. License: GNU General Public License v3 Changes:
The syslog sample log file was removed from samplelogs. A minor issue was fixed in the installer. A bug where logstreamlineparsersyslog.class failed to parse some rsyslog log lines was fixed. Special characters like German umlauts are now properly replaced. A link was added to a help page on the rsyslog wiki. The database layout was changed from winsyslog to monitorware. More debug handling was added.Image

ypsetup(8yp) ypsetup(8yp)

Name
ypsetup - set up the yellow pages (YP) environment

Syntax
       /usr/etc/ypsetup

Description
A local area network	must be set up on your system before you can set up YP. You must know your system's default YP domain name and
whether your system will be a master server, slave server, or client. If your system is to be the master server for your YP domain,	be
sure no other master has been established and be sure the files to be distributed are in the directory Note that the files to be distrib-
uted should be modified from the original files by removing the root entry in the file.

If your system is not to be the master server, be sure a master already exists for your YP domain. Once you know this information, run
with the system in multiuser mode and answer its questions.

Once YP is installed on a machine, it cannot be used until the file is modified to contain YP entries on the desired database lines. The
command reminds a user to run or edit the file manually.
