shared memory - userdefined data structures

Hello, I wonder if I can write my userdefined data structures(ex: a list) to a shared memory segment? I know, the shm functions get (void*) parameter so I should be able to read and write a list into the shared memory. may someone inform and clarify me about that, please? (1 Reply)

WildMidi_OpenBuffer - Open a midi file buffer for processing LIBRARY
libWildMidi SYNOPSIS
#include <wildmidi_lib.h> midi *WildMidi_OpenBuffer (unsigned char *midibuffer, unsigned long int size) DESCRIPTION
Open a midi file, that you have buffered in memory, for processing. midibuffer The memory location of the buffered midi file. This buffer needs to be in standard midi file format. Once this function is called any changes to the buffer will have no effect. size This is the size of the midi file in bytes that is stored in memory. RETURN VALUE
Returns NULL on error, otherwise returns a handle for the midi buffer opened. SEE ALSO
