LinuxSpeaks 1.08 (Default branch)

The LinuxSpeaks project is a collection of scripts and library modules that aspire to be a comprehensive vocal, sight-free user interface to the Linux operating system. Excluding the editor, these scripts are merely front end applications to many command line applications already written and thoroughly tested. Both a tarball installation package and a Live CD ISO are available for download. Configurations for eSpeak, festival, and cepstral are easily made within LinuxSpeaks. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes:
Speech was changed to be non-blocking in several places. This speeds up menus and editors, making the system much more usable. A pager applet was integrated into the system, and it was made the default for reading files and similar activities. A voice recorder applet was added. A time configure applet was added to the set time and date either by ntp or manually. Even more bugs were fixed in several applets and the install script.Image
