Absolute OS 12.1 Beta 8 (Default branch)

Image Absolute is a lightweight Slackware Linux derivative distribution that uses an Icewm, ROX-Filer window/file manager combination. It comes with Firefox, The GIMP, MPlayer, K3B, kTorrent, Gaim, Frostwire, Gftp, StarDict, Skype, and many other titles all set up and ready to run. Several utilities are included to ease configuration and management. It is compatible with all Slackware 11 packages and can be installed just like a Slackware disk, except that you cannot choose which packages to install or remove, as it just installs everything. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes:
Documention has been reconstructed. Firefox is 3.0b4 (Minefield). Unlike 3.0b3, it has not given any errors in early testing. Sylpheed has been updated to 2.2.8, and gtkspell installed to suppport spell checking in Sylpheed. Icewm was updated to 1.2.35. Menus have been rebuilt to support the new documentation model. A new default theme. The kernel setting for CD locking is changed in a new file: /etc/sysctl.conf. Now you can push the button on the CD-ROM without calling umount.. The find_installed script utility has been fixed. setDate.py and gdeskcal have both been modified to prevent the running of multiple instances.Image
