Image Nexenta Storage Appliance is designed and built to operate as a 2nd tier storage alongside pre-existing commercial storage, providing online continuation of data for months and years, with tapes relegated to archival purposes only. The appliance is targeted for 2nd-tier NAS and iSCSI applications requiring extremely low cost storage as well as dramatically simplified provisioning, expansion, backup, replication, and archiving. It can also be used as a primary NAS in businesses that wish to expand at closer to commodity pricing. It supports unlimited snapshots, snapshot mirroring (replication), and easy management of extremely large storage pools. License: Other/Proprietary License with Free Trial Changes:
A continuous data protection service (auto-cdp) was added. Support was added for QLogic HBA Fibre Channel, Intel 82575 1Gb PCI Express NIC Driver, and NVIDIA SATA. The SATA framework was improved. NDMP service was integrated. The LSI SAS/SATA (megaraid) driver was integrated. The Areca SAS/SATA driver was integrated. Ruby bindings were added. Critical security fixes, critical ZFS fixes, and multiple management software bugfixes and improvements were made.Image

NAME

       DBIx::Class::Storage::DBI::AutoCast - Storage component for RDBMS requiring explicit placeholder typing

SYNOPSIS

	 $schema->storage->auto_cast(1);

DESCRIPTION

       In some combinations of RDBMS and DBD drivers (e.g. FreeTDS and Sybase) statements with values bound to columns or conditions that are not
       strings will throw implicit type conversion errors.

       As long as a column data_type is defined and resolves to a base RDBMS native type via "_native_data_type" as defined in your Storage
       driver, the placeholder for this column will be converted to:

	 CAST(? as $mapped_type)

       This option can also be enabled in connect_info as:

	 on_connect_call => ['set_auto_cast']

   connect_call_set_auto_cast
       Executes:

	 $schema->storage->auto_cast(1);

       on connection.

       Used as:

	   on_connect_call => ['set_auto_cast']

       in connect_info.
