Absolute is a lightweight Slackware Linux derivative distribution that uses an Icewm, ROX-Filer window/file manager combination. It comes with Firefox, The GIMP, MPlayer, K3B, kTorrent, Gaim, Frostwire, Gftp, StarDict, Skype, and many other titles all set up and ready to run. Several utilities are included to ease configuration and management. It is compatible with all Slackware 11 packages and can be installed just like a Slackware disk, except that you cannot choose which packages to install or remove, as it just installs everything.

Changes:
A new kernel (tickless, low-latency desktop preemptive model, Pentium Classic minimum CPU) wicd replaces wifi-radar (set the wicd daemon to start when you install, or later in the root services menu; a tray icon appears when using icewm). This is primarily a maintenance release, updating packages to current. It includes gimp-2.4.3 with all the SCRIP-FU updates from gimphelp.org.
