MySpeed Server 7.3g (Default branch)

Image MySpeed is a Java applet that measures connection speeds and quality by timing actual data transfers between your server and end-users. Connection tests are performed via HTTP or socket-to-socket modes. The consistency of data transfer speeds is reported, a key measure of connection quality. Detailed graphs of all data transferred during a speed test are produced. VoIP editions test jitter and packet loss, reporting VoIP quality and load capacity. A server-side database logs all speed test results. The NOC and Support editions provide remote agent technologies to identify remote connectivity problems. The browser applet and remote agents now perform the RTT (round trip time) test using the socket stream (ie: port 20000 if available, will fall back to 80 if not).Image

SOCKET_SET_BLOCK(3) 1 SOCKET_SET_BLOCK(3)

socket_set_block - Sets blocking mode on a socket resource

SYNOPSIS
bool socket_set_block (resource $socket) DESCRIPTION
The socket_set_block(3) function removes the O_NONBLOCK flag on the socket specified by the $socket parameter. When an operation (e.g. receive, send, connect, accept, ...) is performed on a blocking socket, the script will pause its execution until it receives a signal or it can perform the operation. PARAMETERS
o $socket - A valid socket resource created with socket_create(3) or socket_accept(3). RETURN VALUES
Returns TRUE on success or FALSE on failure. EXAMPLES
Example #1 socket_set_block(3) example <?php $socket = socket_create_listen(1223); socket_set_block($socket); socket_accept($socket); ?> This example creates a listening socket on all interfaces on port 1223 and sets the socket to O_BLOCK mode. socket_accept(3) will hang until there is a connection to accept.
