get_iplayer allows a user to download or stream any BBC iPlayer TV program (H.264/Quicktime), ITVplayer TV programs (ASF/WMV), Hulu TV programs (FLV/AVI), iPlayer radio programs (MP3/RealAudio), and BBC podcasts (MP3/AAC). It even downloads iPlayer subtitles. It supports RTMP iPlayer downloads. It has full PVR functionality for automatic queueing and downloading. License: GNU General Public License v3 Changes:
Hulu indexing and stream download support was improved. The Hulu indexing method was rewritten to use page scraping, which is more controlled and sometimes faster. Category-based channels from the Hulu site are used andthe number of pages per channel is limited to 10 to speed up scraping. All Hulu movies are now added to the index. Subtitles (TT) to SubRip conversion was fixed.
